For the Love of Gracie 5K & Blood Drive

A Race for Life - Saturday, April 20, 2019 • 9:00 am • Everett, WA

Gracie was just 8 years old when she passed away due to ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), an autoimmune disease in which the immune system destroys the platelets your body needs for normal blood clotting.  This year the For the Love of Gracie 5K is supporting Bloodworks NW and the Platelet Disorder Support Association as they work to spread awareness of the disease that took Gracie from her family for too early.

During registration you will have the option to join us in our fundraising efforts by creating a Crowdrise fundraiser.  Money raised through Crowdrise will go directly to the charity you choose.  Your participation as a runner/walker in the For Love of Gracie 5K gives you a platform to spread awareness while asking your friends and family to support the work of these charities.

If you choose to fundraise you will find a link on your registration confirmation email from  If you can't find that link drop me a note at and I will help.  Follow that link to your new fundraising page.  From there click on the orange X in the upper right corner of that page.  It will drop down with a Sign In option.  If you've never used Crowdrise before you'll need to set up a free account with them but don't worry, you won't get spammed!  Once you've set up your account and signed in click on that same orange X and you'll see My Dashboard as a drop down option.  Your dashboard is where you'll be able to customize your page with a photo, your reasons for supporting this cause, etc.  It only takes a few minutes and then you can use the social media buttons to share your campaign and invite people to join you!  If you run into any questions along the way don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you again for your support

Penny Kellam, Race Director
